Continuous Migraine for over a year

I'm 42, live a pretty much stressful life, have no worries, I've suffered from migraines since I was about 11, my mum is also a sufferer, the thing is I have had a varying degree migraine EVERYDAY for well over the past year, I don't have any of the usual symtomns, no auras, flashing lights, warning signals, anything usually listed, I go to sleep with one and wake up with one, If I get up during the night I have a migraine. I've been on propanalol for the past year, together with amitrypaline for the past 3 months, they help by numbing the pain but it never goes away. They generally concentrate on the left hand side, my vision has changed dramatically in the past 6 months, I wear glasses and regularly get my eyes tested, I have bouts of pins and needles throughout the day and have split second moments where it feels like I black out, loose balance sensations, dizziness. I've got to point where I just get on with things, take some painkillers, try and ignore it but feel it's getting to the point where it's getting frustrating.

I have them 24 hours a day too and it's there when I wake and there when I sleep. To name a few, I have been on propanolol and amitriptyline and have recently tried nortriptyline yet the doctor has now put me on gabapentin. My neurologist has talked about possibly giving me Botox in the back of my head where I receive the most pain.

Unfortunately as you say the best thing is to try and keep busy and get on with things and I'm trying to not let it affect me too much. Unfortunately it's one of those conditions that is invisible to other people and I am really struggling with work as my boss is very uncaring (especially when it's not a condition she can physically see).

I really hope you find something that eases your pain and suffering and if you do please could you post it on here as I am at the stage where I am happy to try any medication that the doctors are offering to relieve the pain.

I had no idea that there were so many people suffering from this dreadful condition until I logged onto this forum a couple of nights ago. The depressing thing is that most people posting have suffered with the same condition constantly for many many many years. I desperately hope this is not what the future brings :-(
