continuous pain for 6 days

ive had a continuous pain in my left lower pelvic area for 6 days..my stomach feels hard and i feel bloated...i dont have much of an appetite either...i went to the doctors 2 days ago and he said he could feel something in there and would refer me for a scan which could take up to 3 weeks...he gave me some co codamol to take but they havent touched the pain...im so so scared that it could be something serious..i keep crying all the time...im 43 and have 5 grown up children..i dont want to worry them with my fears...sad

    I was the same a few years ago I had bad stomach pains always felt bloated couldn't eat a thing I couldn't even go to the toilet I ended up going to the hospital where they checked me over and sent me home all they said was if you be sick come back as they thought it was my appendix 2 days later I was in more pain than I had been in, I ended up going back to the hospital for them to keep me in, they couldn't find what was wrong with me for days i had scans and tests but nothing till they decided to just open me up, it's a good job they did as my cyst I had on my ovary had burst, so if I was u if your in that much pain don't wait for a appointment go straight away to the hospital as Its not a nice feeling to feel the way you are

      thankyou for your reply...i still havent had a scan appointment come through and im still in constant pain in my pelvic region...its been continuous for 13 days now..pain killers havent helped and i feel as though i am 9 months pregnant with a constant swollen stomach and pressure on my bladder...my doctors is totally useless...have tried to get another appointment for stronger painkillers but got told to keep going with the ones i have...my husband wants to pay private for a scan but i feel its wrong that we should have to...im going to take your advice and go straight to the hospital

      Good luck to you and do hope it's not to serious,  there's def no point in waiting around for an appointment when your in so much pain .
