    Hello,

Usually your thyroid results are within a range, if say they are in the top end of this range you might experience thyroid symptoms without going over and so being overactive. I mean it could be thyroid but along with heart palpitations I'd probably expect the shakiness and sweating too. It could also be a sign of other things- like a vitamin deficiency. Deficiencies are also common with thyroid problems. Thyroid levels can go up, and even during treatment they can go down then up while they titrate your medication.

I would contact your GP surgery for a blood test. They may ask you to wait- I know this has been the case for a family member of mine at the moment. In the meantime, it might be worth contacting the British Thyroid Foundation and also doing some research into taking some vitamins and supplements in the meantime.

Try not to panic, keep a record of your symptoms (if it puts you at ease) and please contact your GP on Monday.

    Good luck!

While I know it is scary during this pandemic, your symptoms are serious enough to go to an Emergency Department. Protect yourself with gloves and a mask and call in advance so they know you are coming. I read a recent article about the Emergency Departments having less patients show up and people having strokes and other serious illnesses like heart attacks at home because they think they can't go. I once had hives all over my body from a small fruit bee sting and I got to see a specialist who diagnosed me with a disease called Serum Sickness and gave me steroids to take, Thank God. Told me if it ever happened again to go to an Emergency Department right away. If you do go and they are scratching their heads about your symptoms, (this happened to me before I saw the specialist) ask them if it could possibly be Serum Sickness.
