Convinced I have Cervical Cancer. HELP

Posted , 5 users are following.

So I've been on recently about sore armpits, hands and feet and breasts.

I am now freaking out due to having vaginal bleeding (very bright red- almost pink) in between periods. My last period finished just over a week ago so I'm not due.

It also doesn't help that I have pain in my back/kidney area too on my right side.

I have kidney stones (on my left side) so that doesn't help differentiating the pain. I am absolutely freaking out. My health anxiety is soaring. I'm not well with a sore throat and chest cough so I'm weak as it is.

I looked up symptoms of cervical cancer and I have most symptoms. Could this all be anxiety related??

Wish I could catch a break.

Its amazing how when you google symptoms and then convince yourself you have something life threatening our symptoms seem to spiral, Ive done it my self and anxiety can cause your body to do such crazy stuff, I was convinced I had bowel cancer, I had blood in my stools, bg weight loss, terrible belly aches, elevated liver function as well as all sorts of other awful symptoms, I had lots of blood tests and a colonoscopy and did not have cancer and it seems all anxiety , try not to freak out, and dont google anything except anxiety symptoms, Ive also had the sore armpits and breasts, go and get a check up and when its not anything sinister you will find alot of the symptoms will go w=away and the worse case senario that it was there is plenty of treatment these days for cervical cancer, but the chances of it being that are so small .Good luck

      Thanks Lee!!

Having health anxiety really sucks the life out of me. Wow, you had a lot of symptoms.

I'll go and get a smear test done anyway for peace of mind. Will be fine until my next google diagnosis.

Just broke down crying to my partner about how dark a place I'm in thinking this way and constantly thinking about death and when my time is. It kinda helped but I hate making her feel like she's helpless. I must exhaust her with my OCD in all this!!

I know exactly what you mean, my latest is worrying about melanoma after losing a friend to it and with my history of sunburn etc, its so hard not to overthink every little stmptom and think Im going to leave my children without a mother, I was fine until the last year or two, and now Im just so scared of dying all the time, crazy I know.

Sorry to hear about your friend. The likelihood of you having the same will be slim, but I know what you mean, everything is possible in our minds.

We catastrophise unnecessarily and really takes over our lives. I need to enjoy my life. I have so many good things in it and I'm forgetting that because of my crazy, dark thoughts x

If you are concerned that you might have cervical cancer, go see your gynecologist, share your symptoms....I am sure a pap smear willl be given.  Pap smears are the best way to detect cervical cancer.  Good luck.

I'll book myself in for one. Definitely need reassurance.
