COPD

my anxiety is really bad tonight. Got letter in mail from Doctor regarding a chest X-ray I had last week. The letter was the X-ray report that says I have COPD. When I called the doctors office about it they said its nothing and to ignore it. If it was anything the doctor would of called me directly. I don't have any of the symptoms  of COPD I'm 56 years old ever smoked. Day in my life. I'm so confused and so anxious I feel like I'm going to throw up!

Hi if it was something serious they would not have told you not to ignore the letter so if it is nothing to worry about

Ummm I could see why you would be nervous! If they said don't worry about it I know you shouldnt, but maybe request a counseling session with your doctor? I mean they should expect you to have questions about this so I'm not sure why they wouldn't even think about that.. Schedule an appt to talk and ask questions if you feel super nervous about it.

Went to doctor today and he assured me that I didn't have COPD. I also had a few tests yesterday morning and one happened to be a breathing test that I passed. I had the night from hell last night worrying myself sick. Thank u for your advice.😊
