Copd or post nasal drip

Been diagnosed with copd but wondering if post nasal drip and polyps would give a bad score as post nasal drip gives a reverseable obstruction?

You were diagnosed by pulmonary function tests (PFTs) or spirometry?  Then no, post nasal drip didn't affect your tests.  If you're asking about nasal polyps, I don't see a way they would alter these tests.  Did you ask the doc/nurse?

Surely if post nasal drip makes an obstruction in the windpipe and lung opening this would change results, just like a cold, flu and chest Infection would.

Hi Aaron. If you're not happy with your diagnosis, or believe post nasal drip may have affected the result, then get treatment for your post nasal drip, and THEN .. ask for another spirometry test.

A bottle of Nasobec should help clear it up .. around £2.50 from any pharmacist.
