Coping with a whole host of problems …

Good Morning

I hope you’re all well and please let me know if this is the wrong forum for posting my question.

I am a male and approaching 50 years of age.  I was born with a whole host of problems:

Cervical Myelocele

Meningo Myelocele

Right Convergent Strabismus

Deformity Of Right Foot

Spinal Deformity

Operation for Squint

Occipital Meningocele

Right Hemiparesis

Incoordination of right Hand

 

I have lived with all this since birth.  I have noticed that some of these symptoms have started to increase and would very much like to get in touch with other individuals (for moral support) who have also got some of these problems.

I tried to look online but couldn’t find any relevant groups or online chat groups.  Does anybody know of any Facebook groups, meetup groups/events, online groups/chats where I could meet or talk online with other individuals who suffer the same problems?

    Hi geek84, I don't have any of your conditions, but I do know there are others who probably are suffering with similar condtions and I just want to wish you all the best of luck and don't give up in finding others who are dealing with the same just to chat with or like you said possibly meet somewhere...have you googled like spinal whatever in the area you live in ?  Like for example support groups for spinal deformities...I bet you'd find something that way too and do the Facebook Support Group because we're all people with different conditions. Breast Cancer Support groups, AA support groups, I wish you success in this endeavor..stay well geek84...my brother-in-law has spinabifeda and had 2 kids, got married and did a physical job; is now basically retired and suffering with pain in his back where the spinabifeda surgery was...I feel terrible for him and he is in a lot of pain most of the time so take comfort in knowing I Pray for him and all who suffer no matter what the condtions and I'm not without my own problems either..again Good Luck to you smile
