David. I had my claim refused so I called them and asked for a copy of the notes taken duriing teh assessment and also for an automatic reconsideration. I have subsequently sent them some supporting documentation from my work Occupational Health and my GP so I am awaiting their desicion again.  I still have not received a copy of the assessment notes so i'm unsure as to whether they'll send them with my revised desicion or if I'll have to ask again.  I think everyone should take a recorded with them and also ask for a copy of the notes as a matter of course.  I read about a Dispatches programme which looke dinto PIP assessors who were filling out claimant's forms before the interview so they could cram mor eingterviews in each day.  They are getting around £90 for each one now and the Dispatches investigation showed an undercover reporter speaking to assessors who were earning over £2000 a week without writing the assessment details down.  Good luck with your claim and call the PIP number to ask for the notes.

Hi David, as far as I am aware you can call them 3 days after your assessment for the report and they should post it out to you. Might be worth following up with a letter..

No I don't think I will ..I know it's illegal but so is it when they are putting false statements on the medical form .

Well if you are caught out you run the serious risk of having your claim closed down. And what do you think you can do with a video recording? You can't use it.

It's NOT illegal in any event.

And it's certainly NOT illegal if the assessor miss quotes or simply makes an untrue assessment report - the assessment report is nothing more than an opinion - it is someone's personal opinion - right or wrong.
