I went ahead and used an online doctor to get 6 months worth of my sertraline. 3 months with a 3 month refill. already had 3 months worth. so I'm good for 6 months. did same thing with my other med. 9 months worth on that one. should always have a back up. the online doctors work out well in that case. I went to drsays, only 35 dollars

Hi, of course that's crossed my mind. And since I'm OCD, I used to stock up on sert. But then not long ago, I was cleaning and saw several bottles that have expired a long time - we're talking like 2004!, so I threw them all away. I also found out that as drugs expire, they lose their strength and effectiveness with time. So that's why we're often urged to throw away expired meds. Personally, I think it's always good to have an extra month's supply on hand. Not just for a possible lockdown, but for situations like not being able to get an appointment with my doc in time because he's traveling or I can't see him in time because I'm traveling out of town.

But I really don't think this is something you should worry about because I'm sure we can get access to our docs for meds refill even in lockdown because remember we're NOT the only ones needing a maintenance dose. There are bazillions of folks out there, like diabetics, who need their meds on an ongoing basis. And I even have a friend who goes to a center for dialysis 3x a week as she waits in line for a new kidney.

    And so...we are fine. 😃
