I agree with self isolation. But I wonder if this is going to be for a longer period of time than has been suggested. My rheumatology office was pretty emphatic about people on mtx (like you and I) being in isolation. But I find my spirits getting down.

BTW I live in America. So I am not sure we have the same guidelines.

You won't - but here in Italy we have almost lock down and social distancing when you do go out to shop. Only food shops and pharmacies open - plus tobacco and newspaper outlet! Had it for 2 weeks so far, the increase in infections in my regions does seem to have started to slow - which was the idea. But the measures are likely to be required for months to come, though possibly not quite so strict, if people can be trusted. So far in the UK they can't.

Being in NYC the epi-center of COVID in the states. we are all staying inside and trying to keep the numbers down. The good news is that so many have gone back to phone calls (remember those) and connecting via email like this... reading books, watching good TV... you are not alone in this, in fact we are all together in this.

someone told me yesterday to remember Shakespeare wrote "King Lear" while under quarentine from the Black Plague! stay calm and carry on. This will pass but it may take longer than we all expected.

I am 58 years old, on methotrexate and toxcimulab weekly injections. I am a self employed short breaks carer for children mainly on the autistic spectrum. I have had no correspondence from my consultant or gp. At the moment I am on annual leave but all my families still want and are entitled to have overnight stays 😦

On those 2 drugs you are classified as extremely high vulnerability and you should be self-isolating. You have a degree of entitlement too - and you should contact your GP at the very least although there is still until the end of the week for the letter/message to arrive but I gather there was a problem with the system of safeguarding and they are having to check on everyone to be sure they were caught and notified.

Hi I didn’t get the letter straightaway but just got it last Thursday I was surprised to receive it but it reads quite serious and clearly I will follow it to the letter out of interest I am on methotrexate and Benopali

When you see how many people who are fit and well and of all ages who else are coming to this virus it makes you realise that with rheumatoid arthritis we need to do everything we can to protect ourselves
