re my 1st post regarding P>C> I made an error in stating I had prostate cancer. It should have read as follows, A high PSA reading. I apologise for this. BUT I have managed to bring my readings down by eating dark chocolate ane drinking red juices. My last reading , last month came down by 3 points, so I am still being monitored every 6 months and Im very happy with that, so is the specialist.

    Dear Vassilis, I will make enquiries as its something I havent looked into. I have however met a neighbour who has HAD a very high PSA reading and due to having taken the dark chocolate, blueberry juice as I myself do, and having had hormone treatment, he now has reading of ZERO. You can if you so wish, conjtact me through my web site, Beyond the realms of AOL my name on there is Sandman. I look forward to your further contact.

    @Vassilis

    My urologist said that a reading above 4.0 is cause for further investigation; i.e. biopsy to rule out cancer, especially if there's a history of abnormal readings. This is not to say that a high reading is a pre-cursor for prostate cancer, but something to monitored closely.

    vassilis. its now 6 yrs since I was 1st examined and I eventually had the works. Camera front and rear etc. As I stated, my latest PSA reading is just over 10 down from 12 +. My next appointment keeps being postponed as my reading doesnt warrent a further check for another 3 months. I must either be doing something right or just very lucky. Yr specialist is right, monitoring is essential. I wish you well

    Thank you very much for your time. I plan to get a blood test this week, to if there has been any change in my PSA since my course of anti biotics. I will keep you posted. The best of luck to yourself as well.

    Trust you are having a happy May Day. Kind regards. Ray
