Corset-v-Pain

Posted , 10 users are following.

A month since I received and started wearing my corset - must say the pain I had in my hip and back has gone and no more painkillers are needed. One day I decided not to wear it and the pain was back - so yes I can recommend wearing these corsets. I thought it would be too warm in this hot weather but I am quite surprised that it's ok. Just need to get rid of my limp and then I'll be a happy lady as I really miss walking but the limp inhibits me.

Regards

Jean

    What corset are you using?

Hi Sue, it is a PRIM 401 Semi-rigid. Very good as it fastens with velcro. I am so amazed the difference it makes - I was sceptical at first but the proof was in the wearing. One drawback - I have had to tighten the elastic in the waist of my skirts as it holds 'everything'  but I look so much slimmer ha ha!!

It sounds great, if the pain I have in my back since hip op persists I might get one.

Hi Jen, I feel like a new woman since I started wearing it. I was in so much pain and had to take Tramadol to get some relief but once the Tramadol wore off I was in pain again. Seemed to spend my time lying on the bed to help to ease it. I was amazed at the difference a simple corset made. OK it's not a black lace one with red ribbons but who cares when it does the trick eh!!

Dear Jean it's great that it is working for you but it does rather suggest to me that you would really benefit from seeing a good chiropractor. Cheers Richard

Hi, the corset was prescribed for me by a  Specialist  at the Hospital so no need of a chiropractor!!!!

Do you remember initially how you were none too sure about the idea?  Great that it has really paid off and the specialist was right!

Hi, I thought a corset would not be the answer - wrong eh!

    Hi Jean,

Can I ask how you got the corset in the first place please. I have constant pain due to SI joint being damaged during hip replacement. Currently waiting for an ablation to be done and possible fusion in the future.

    Kind regards

    Sue

Hi, I went to see my doctor as I was in constant pain (2 years after my replaced hip) and I had x-rays that showed the pain was through putting strain on my back - hence the limp. I then saw a Specialist at the hospital and she prescribed the corset - best thing ever.

Please can you tell me what sort of corset you have? My hip is extremely painful when I walk due to my leg discrepancy so a corset may help.
