Cost of REZUM

If you paid for this out-of-pocket, would you mind sharing what you paid?  I'm contemplating getting the procedure done and don't have insurance to cover it.

Thanks!

    Hi Paul,

Are you on Medicare? I think it may be covered.

Hi Fred - thanks.  No, I'm 54.  Will have to pay out of my own funds.

If insurance will not cover it, it means that insurance companies still consider it experimental.

Well insurance would pay for it, except that I don't have insurance because I live out of the country.

Paul, I live in New Jersey, have Aetna Insurance and its covered. Am contemplating having this done but haven't said yes just yet. I was Goggling this procedure for more info and somewhere in my search I saw the cost was in the range of roughly $2000.00 to $3,000.00.

Thats reasonable to me.  I paid way more than that for flex lenses when I had cataract surgery.

My bigger question is, of course, does it work.  At least by doing CIC it gives me time for some of the data to accumulate on effectiveness of procedures.

If income is below a certain amount, you may qualify for financial assistance.

How do you find the right doctor?  Basically, this forum?  I'm not sure how much I trust the reviews on the web sites out there.  Is someone here keeping a list on which are good doctors based on peoples' experiences?

We can have people here from different parts of the world; France, England, U.S.  Hard to recommend Drs but sometimes they do.

So no one will share their costs?
