Costochonditis. How its affected me

In march of 2016 I was admitted into the ER for having breathing problems over a period of time. They ran several tests on me and didn't find anything. So I went to the doctor a few days later and was diagnosed with costochonditis. I first noticed my chest hurting allot and my breathing being weird in 2014. Ever sense I was diganosed it's gotten worse the pain never goes away. Some days I feel like an elephant sitting on my torso and other days ever breath feels like I'm being punched in the gut repeatedly. There's been nights where I've woken up not able to breath and I can't move. So I basically have to sit there and take it. I've tried ice and heat compresses several times. Its not working. I take ibuprofen probably 3 to 4 times a day. I also have severe allergies and coughallot and with every cough it gets worse and worse. At this point I'm willing to do anything to get rid of the pain.

i thought I was having a heart attack, but it was Tietz Syndome - same thing also as what you have. My doc told me to take 2000 mg of Termiric a day.  yes, it is the thing that gives curry that red look.  It has helped with my chest pain.

I finally went to a pain specialist and he put me on steroids for a week which helped tremendously!  My symptoms have not gone away, but they have gotten to be manageable and liveable. The pain specialist also mentioned that if things got bad again he could give me a cortesone injection under my breastbone, as bad as yours sounds, you might cosider this option.  It sounds to me like you just need to find the right doctor to help you.  The pain specialist really helped me.  I actaully contacted my health insurance company and asked them for help, they referred me to the pain specialist.  It took me a while to find the right doctor but once I did, everything has gotten much better and I sitll hope for it all to go completely away in the future.  I've been dealing iwth this for 6 months now.

    Good luck!!
