Costochondritis?

Hi!

I have been having pain in my chest since last week.It started in the sternum area only when i inhale deeply or cough.In the last couple of days also the ribs near the sternum started hurting.The pain is aggravated by deep breathing,coughing and some specific positions and movements,so it does not hurt constantly.It is not sharp or unbearable,kind of dull.Im 20 with healthy ECG and Echocardio from last year.The pain is not deep ,more superficial and there is mild point tenderness where the ribs meet the sternum.Were these the symptoms you experienced before you were diagnosed?

Also i do smoke like 5 to 10 cigaretts a day but i highly doubt it is lung related infecrion or inflammation since i have no fever cough or fatigue.

    Yes Exactly like that i now how very, very long periods where my entire ribcage hurts

    i have had it once before but this time its horrendous i have lump on ribs my chest is so tight can only take shallow breaths the pain goes into my neck and both shoulders and between them , i feel sorry for anyone who suffers with this complaint i also have what feels like palpitations had a day of doing nothing apart from consuming paracetamol
