does anyone that suffers with costochondritis find that it affects your breathing and , gives you a sore feeling in your chest and if you breath in deep it makes you cough , almost the feeling of a cold on your chest?

    Have you seen a doctor for your breathing issues? Costo affects my breathing in the sense that my ribcage and sternum are very, very sore, so it's hard to take a deep breath.

    If you are coughing, it could be something completely unrelated.

    this my second time of this horrible condition i over exerted myself pulling a galvanised water tank up a field 6 wks ago and since then ive had trouble breathing my chest is so tight like someones sat on it struggle to take deep breath have pain in shoulders neck and back the pain in chest region has calmed down but everything else is agony had ecg and blood tests all clear cant walk up hill without thinking im going to have heart attack it really is the most horrible thing im also asthmatic so this doesnt help at all
