Costochondritis Lumps?

Hi guys, so I’ve been dealing with costochondritis now for around 4 weeks, it only started at night at first when I was going to sleep and I’d find it difficult to find a comfortable position. Then it got to the point where it was during the day so basically constant. I’ve also got a lump between my collarbone and top of my breast. I’m just wondering if anyone else has got this? It actually feels like a swollen rib as its quite hard. It’s not visible to see either. I do have blood tests tomorrow at my GP which I’m worried about as i keep thinking they’re going to tell me something is wrong. But I’m suffering with anxiety aswell. Any help on anything would be highly appreciated. Thank you

    My understanding is the lumps are tietze syndrom which is like costo. Good luck at your appointment. This stuff is not fun, i think it makes more anxiety because nobody should be in this kind of pain

    hope all is well I had labs done and every thing is fine, he gave me a 6 day pack of methylprednisolone which is working he says it stay in the system a week after so hopefully I won't need to go back I also take naproxen that helps too

      I went down this morning at 10:10 and had my bloods done, they’ve done a full blood count so waiting to find out from them. The ribs under my left breast all feel swollen. And I’m wondering what is this? I haven’t been prescribed any medication

    I have swelling too that's going down now with the meds,I hope you feel better soon

      yes my left  side also felt a little on my right, How did your appointmeny go? Hope all is well

      Hi hun, yeah my appointment was fine, had the results back and everything is normal apart from being low in vitamin D, so was prescribed some vitamins that I have to take for 6 weeks. But been reading up and inflammation can be caused by low vitamin d. My ribs still feel swollen though, I can feel the rib when pressing around my breast, aswell as the pain here and there from it. How are you getting on?

      I have an appointment this morning, swelling is better but not completely gone. pain is gone but heaviness is still there and irritation. How are you feeling today

      Hello, yeah I’m feeling ok today. I do feel like I’m improving slightly. The lumps are still there aswell as the swelling. But I’m not taking anything for the swelling. I will try and get to my GP this week though
