costochondritis or is it more?

The pain i have started 4 months ago for me after I went and lifted a 6 pack of 2 litre water off bottom store shelf to put in a trolley that night I thought I had a heart attack due to the pain being central around the heart it felt very sharp and went on for the night i woke up next day and it was gone from being sharp pulseing to throbbing pain on the left side which would move around as it suited but always stayed on the left side it would go down my left arm a lot and also my stomach would hurt once in a while to.

After 4 days of the same thing not changeing at all i went to hospital out of fear and worry thinking more was going on they did 4 ecg tests 3 bloods x-ray and stress test they said everything was normal nothing wrong.

Now its been 4 months with no changeandi have had 3 serious pain attacks since then one caused pins and needles feeling in the tipof my fingers and weakness in the left arm again with a fast heart rate i could feel it felt like it was going to beat out of my chest it. The second time it happened again but no pins and needles just weakness and fast heart rate. The third time i could not get to sleep I could not lay in any position bar on my back and i cant sleep in that position never could.

so to sum it up the pains are always on the left side focused around the heart area and moving around to the back and down the left arm.

Their is stomach pain every now and again.

I have anxiety issues which i never thought i had due to not being anxious over anything i am aware of.

Feeling of weakness and lack of focus at times maybe due to tiredness.

Left side can shake at times like adrenaline feeling.

so those are the issues and i am wondering is what my doctor said true do these symptoms match up with costochondritis or is it more?

Also on a side note if it is costochondritis when will it be gone or is it with me for life? It is kinda dibilitating that pain can get bad at times crippleing bad.

I know exactly how you feel. I had excruciating pain yesterday. Today I have still the feeling in my chest/arm/neck but I'm in bed all day. I have done nothing that I feel will trigger bad pain. I am also wondering how long will I be this way. I've a house job two kids to look after. I'm trying not to stress and stay positive that it will go. I'm thinking of changing my diet around. Im taking turmeric tablets and icing the area. I'm also taking my forth course of vimivo (anti inflammatorys). I'm considering acupuncture or an osteopath. Is your left side tender to touch? Sounds like you do have costocondritis. I've learned a lot from the internet. Not my doc he didn't have a clue

My left side is not tender that I can tell but I have had this pain for a while so this may sound odd but it is becoming hard to tell where the pain is at times. Although sometimes the pain just disappears for a while then it comes back
