Costochronditis

Iv been diagnosed with costochronditis just two days ago.  I ended in ER. because I thot I was having a heart attack. It was excruciating stabbing pain in under my left breast going into my shoulder and upper arm.  It still there but not as bad. Keeps stabbing off and on.  Anyone else got this

    Hi roise.  I been dealing with costo since june 2017. I experienced similar pains, sharp pain in my left breast going into my back and also my right breast. It was the most terrifying thing i have ever experienced. I went to the ER , they did an ECG and an x-ray and the dr said i have costo he said to just apply heat pad and take advil. The pain comes and goes and everytime it comes back it terrifies me. Both my family doctor and ER doctor told me this should go away in a couple of months however its been 8 months and it still comes and goes.
