Costocondritis

I have had what I believe to be Costco for two years. Pain along rib under left breast and at sternum. Dull ache most of the time, tender to touch, sometimes whole chest in spasm after long day. I've had ct scan, mammo, extensive blood work, heart work up. I've tried 6 weeks physical therapy, naproxen and acupuncture. Nothing has helped. My doctor seems confused and I don't know where to turn next!!! Specialists? More tests? Live with it? Cortisone shots?? But the worst part for me, which no one has discussed is the bra!!!! It is a nightmare!! I buy bigger sizes, add extenders, try stretchy bras, sports bras, but by end of day everything g hurts and I'm ripping it off. I am a teacher and no bra isn't an option! Please help!!!

I don't know if there is a connection between the IBS and the costo. I have always assumed they are two different things. Have you asked your GP about it? He may suggest you see a gastroenterologist. They tested me for celiac disease, and even though the results were negative they had me go on a gluten-free diet to see if it helped. It's very hard to be gluten-free, as you have to think about every little thing you eat, and it's very expensive. I would have to say that either time it didn't make a difference. But it turned out I have colitis, which they determined through a colonoscopy. I have had so many tests, but the main thing is to get your symptoms under control. They tried several different medicines for me, but ultimately I watch my diet, try to eliminate stress, and I am not on any medicines. I was a special education teacher, and the stress probably caused my problem.
