I have coughing for almost 2 months, part of reason is because of acid reflux .

Yes, I do get bouts of coughing, but it seems more due to dry throat than any stomach issues. I never used to have that, but I sometimes have this bout of coughing that comes suddenly. I have to either swallow several times or drink some water. No real reason - I'm not allergic to anything specific and don't have any stomach issues either.

I just wrote it down as another of the many peri symptoms....

Hi Marisol… For quite some time I occasionally have this crazy cough, but I seem to only get it in bed at night and waking. But I was scared because I thought I was starting to get bronchitis. I mean... like it starts out a serious cough and then it’s over as fast as it came on. There is a cough that accompanies, I think Gerd and acid reflux. Do you have either one of those conditions?

Good Morning Marisol, I completely understand this time of life can be soul crushing. That pain with the rib and the back, is extremely common. I did have and, to be honest, with the ribs, still have the burning sensation. I’m not sure if I mentioned this to you before, costochondritis is a very common condition during this time. It’s at the top of the ribs where basically our bras would be digging in. Try not to wear underwire bras , They make it much worse. When you say your back is in pain, does that starts for example under your right breast and shoot under the armpit and around the back? Do you still have your gallbladder, could that be an issue? I don’t know why we all seem to have that symptom, but clearly it’s tied somehow to the hormones, but so strange. you’re not alone, I think most women on here have had that. but we’ve been wearing bras most of our life so it makes sense 😉 I went and got a hormone saliva test yesterday and after completed I will send it in tomorrow. My pharmacist said, after I asked him, why we women have to go through such a difficult time, he said, “well you’re just catching up with us men.“ I said, what do you mean, I don’t understand, he said, “men ...percentage wise ...have much more cancer, heart attack and stroke in their 40s and he said women in their late 50s are just catching up to what men have already experienced ...UMMMM ... That was food for thought....still is not a good explaination though 😉

By all means… Vent away… That’s become one of my favorite past time since this started years ago 😉 I'm not diagnosing... don’t get me wrong... but the pain that you’re mentioning is the exact pain I had when I had gallbladder issues. Do you still have your gallbladder? if you ever have your gallbladder looked at, the true test to make sure how a gallbladder is functioning is called a HIDA scan. I went for years upon years with gallbladder pain and they kept saying it wasn’t my gallbladder and it was the whole time. When I had it removed which was basically an emergency, the doctor said he couldn’t believe I was living with the pain and that my gallbladder was shredded . they even did an ultrasound and they actually did a HIDA scan, but these doctors are such yahoos. we really have to be vigilant about our health in this time of life. Don’t get down on yourself, we all feel the way you explained, I think, it goes naturally with it. But you have to understand also it’s the hormones playing with our brains. i’m glad you have a good husband, it makes the ride much easier. Please don’t get down on yourself, try to write 10 positive things on a piece of paper about yourself right now, I’m sure it will not be hard to do 😃 I know it almost feels like we are invisible. We are supposed to gain all kinds of wisdom at this time, I’d rather have a great body… LOL When I see a really attractive girl ...half my age... or what not... I immediately think... I was at that age at one time too ...and looked that good, it’s just part of life 😉 I know what you mean about the socializing, I’ve been that way for years, hard to want to do anything when we feel like left over refried beans 😉
