Coughing up blood

Hi, I have just joined this group and wondered if anyone else has this problem. I have a lump in my throat which I can't swallow down, and sometimes I feel the need to cough and most times when it does come up it is blood, like a clot sometimes too. My doctor thought it could be acid reflux and put me on Omeprazole, after a while I had no further symptoms until I finished the tablets and the bleeding started up again. I went back to ask her for more, but instead she referred me to ENT a cyst was found on top of me voicebox, but after removing that under gen anaesthetic with nothing untoward found, the bleeding stated up again. I have been put on Pantoprazole also changed my diet and am hoping I stay symptom free.

    hi primrosegirl,

    same here usually in the morning I think the nasal area is dry  if the room air is dry too. ii drink lots of fluids and I am on omeprazole 40 a day.

      Hi 1diamond owl,

      Makes me feel so much better knowing I'm not alone! I am seeing the Dr. On Wednesday and will ask her if I can be put back on the Omeprazole as is seems to work better for me.
