I had exactly those symptoms in March this year, right the way through to July. I was so scared

Had several ecg's, blood tests, X-rays - all clear. But I was convinced

Consultant was sure it was stress/anxiety as I did have a lot going on.

My son has got better - I'm now married and I am in a job I like instead

My heart troubles seem a long time ago

    Could yours be stress?

    Hi

About 5 yrs ago I got long episodes of palpitations sometimes lasting 30minutes, I had cut scan, cxr, stress test, halter monitor, ecg, but they thought that I must have picked up a virus or was exposed to solvents so that the nerves to my heart were affected, they said my heart was healthy and functioning well considering I have a congenital heart defect anyway. I get the ectopics as well still, but that gets more common as you get older anyway apparently and not too much to worry about. They did offer me flecanide to help the palps and ahhrythmias but that it could take years to get better, I refused at the time as I didn't want to go on daily medication, something I probably regret now as due to my congenital heart defect I have now had heart surgery to repair my Ebstein anomaly following minor stroke and TIA. I'm now on lifelong daily meds but reasonably healthy. At least I get a check up every 6-12 months on NHS more than going private would have offered me without paying.

My advice would be, try not to worry too much, see the doctors asap and follow their advice, they tend to know what they are doing if you get a good cardiologist. from my point of view I am getting older 49 now, so I just try to stay fit and eat a varied diet.

    Hope your condition improves.

Really sorry that you are suffering with these symptoms, heart disease is a very easy thing to diagnose and I'm sure if you had it they would find it, I want go into details but I had a major scare 6 years ago and was told it was ha scared the out of me, heart health is important but anxiety can and does cause your symptoms.

Hi the EA was diagnosed fully after an ultrasound back in 70's when I was a teenager. Symptoms then were inability to compete with other kids in sport, ie getting out of breath very quickly. Can't remember specifics otherwise.
