Could I have hydrocele after varicocelectomy

Posted , 3 users are following.

I had varicocelectomy 2 days ago. I noticed yesterday that my left testicle got bigger like i was swollen. I did some research and came across hydrocele which is a comon thing after the surgery. My testicles still contract and expand all the time. Should I worry?

No, don't worry. You've just had surgery, things won't go back to normal for a while.

I don't think things felt right for me until a couple of months after my op. So just allow yourself to recover before you go looking at anything else.

Your doctor will be able to advise a lot better that google, so I'd stop looking up stuff on there. Trust me, been there, done that. It doesn't help!

Hey nick, i had a varicocele operation about 3 months ago and i was worried about the same thing, my left testicle got swolen and i was pretty worried, after a month it went down a little bit, 3-4 months later its still bigger than normal, tbh i strongly believe that the operation made things worse down there.

Can i ask why you got the operation ? Were you getting pain ?

Well yeah I had pain on my testicles and my groin area. Now 3 weeks later i feel slightly better. I can still notice some veins but not as but. One day I got scared cause I woke up with pain and i noticed some veins. But the doctor told me I should not worry. Also for one week the contractions on my testicles stoped but 3 days ago they appeared again. I hope you get better.
