    I was asking because apparently

You can have issues with your mouth/gums on cyclorspirin.

The first sign for me was my mouth i was eating some potatoe chips and they tasted like the most strongest vinegar. And they were not vinegar chips. Then i could hardly eat anything only vegetables and within a few days after that I had my glands come up on the sides of my neck they were the side of golf balls everyone thought I had the mumps .And following that within a week no siliva in my mouth and then another couple of weeks joint pain and the fatique set in. Go to the doctor I went to a specialist in the finish and had a lip biopsy

      I agree.

That’s about how mine started as well. The lip biopsy confirmed it, in the end. I still have my battles, but am beginning to find more confidence and have gotten rid of a few stressors in my life recently.

      Keep fighting.

We are all here to catch you, Julie.

      Yes, it is.

      Trust me.

      I know.

Not to mention embarrassing at times.

I wake up every morning with it. It only strays occasionally when I eat down differently. I’m still working on it.

I’ll sebd you a personal message.

    Hi Julie,

I already have Hashimoto's thyroiditis and now my mouth is so dry with a metallic taste.  I am taking Pilocarpine (Salagen), 5mg four times a day to help me salivate.  I had blood work done to test for Sjogren's and it came back negative.  I had a dermatologist do two types of lip biopsies.  One came back not showing the auto immune (I believe antibodies, which did not appear in blood work).  The other biopsy showed features consistent with Sjogren's so at least I finally have an answer as to why I have no saliva and no tears.  I also have burning mouth syndrome and my joints hurt, and I am extremely fatigued.  Go to your doctor who can do blood work and if it comes out negative, then you will need a lip biopsy.  I do feel your pain and it is a nightmare.  I wish you blessings and answers, donna
