Could it be a bad batch?

Im not sure if my last prescription of 50mg sertraline is working, has anyone else had any issues? Ive been on it for 6 months now and its made a really positive change in my life but since i started using the last lot (5 days now), Ive been sinking (emotionally). I havent been getting the teeth grinding or wobbly feelings that i usually get a few hours after taking them.

Has anyone heard of bad batches coming through? Maybe its just not working so well anymore?

    Hi Sam,

I had to reply as I am at this moment waiting for my prescription to be redone. This is because I am on 100 mg of Sertraline since Feb and I was feeling better over the past few weeks. But the last few days have not been good with side effect symptoms and low moods. I then realised that the change ties in with the change in manufacturer of my Sertraline, even though it is the same drug and doesage I feel this must be the reason, so I have asked the Dr to give me what I had previously.

Surely you should be taking up this issue with the pharmacist?  If you are in the UK that's what you would have to do.  The pharmacist orders his own supplies

      Hi Iris,

I did go to the pharmacist first but they asked me to go back to the GP to get a new prescription.
