Could it be a seizure?

My husband stretched yesterday whilst waking up in bed and his neck hurt. He assumed he pulled a muscle as he could barely move from pain so took ibuprofen. Fast forward an hour later and he wants to go to the bathroom. On his way out he collapsed, his eyes rolled into the back of his head his breathing became grunted and then altogether stopped breathing for 30-60 seconds. He woke up completely oblivipus. Drs in a and e say he passed out from the pain. But I think it must be more than that. Has anyone experienced anything similar? He's still in pain with his neck but hasn't collapsed since.
