Could it be herpes symptoms

I went to the doctor today and told them to do a swab and blood test. I had a partner about year ago who told me he had gotten it from a paid encounter but it was after being with me. I never did test because I havent had symptoms but I do worry. Today I saw red bumps and went to the doctor. I have had a prolonged period and attributed being irritated from wearing pad all day as tampon backup. Now end of day it looks different from this morning. I havent had pain or any other symptoms.

I do not see a way to delete or modify the post sorry I think the stress of waiting is really getting to me I keep looking to see a difference and keep poking to see if feel pain. The original picture is not how I have seen it since yesterday. How long does it usually take and how does one not make it worse with worry.

Time to results depends on the test type and whether you went public or private. Can be a couple of days to several. It's good to ask at the time when you can expect your results back. I don't know if what you have is a rash or what, but if he said he didn't get it until after you, then that should be a bit more reassuring. Best thing really is to just wait it out till you get your results, and try not to overthink until then!

To update I came back positive for hsv 1 in the blood I am unsure about swab test. I dont know if this is first or recurring outbreak. Doctor since it is positive in blood it is not a new infection. I also didnt feel any symptoms my initial visit was based on discomfort from confirmed vaginal infection.
