Could it be Lyme?

Hello,
Since the beginning of July, I have had periods of sudden and extreme anxiety, brain fog, inability to concentrate, etc.
Prior to this, I have never had anxiety or any of these other issues. These periods come out of no where and I can usually feel them coming on. There are days where I feel normal and then days it's a struggle to get through the day
I've been tested for low magnesium, thyroid, my doc has given me anti depressants, which I refuse to take. I'm not depressed, or even anxious normally
When I go back to the doc, I want them to test me for Lyme. It's like I'm two different people. When it starts, I'm a mess abs when it subsides I feel and think clearly. Has anyone else had this off and on symptoms that led to a Lyne diagnosis?

Hi Wes,
With Lyme, almost anything is possible. I have definitely experienced anxiety, depression, and difficulty concentrating with mine - although I've had a gazillion other symptoms as well.
If everything else is checking out normal, seems like getting a Lyme test would be reasonable. However keep in mind there are lots of false negatives, so a negative result does not meet that you don't have Lyme.
Let us know what you find out!

Hey Andy,
Thanks for the response. I'm at a loss at what else it could be at this point. I'm thinking of seeing an infectious disease doctor for this, to possibly avoid a false negative result or dealing with a doc without Lyme experience. It's funny, today I woke up feeling normal and in the last few hours, those feelings are creeping up on me

Wes, you sound like your describing my symptoms. I have been tested twice by my family Dr, twice it came back negative. I'm now experiencing pain in my knees. It's difficult to pinpoint because of lower lumbar herniations that have caused me quite a bit of leg pain. At this point I'm with you, I'm going to a local infectious disease specialist in the coming weeks to be looked at and retested by someone who's well versed in Lyme. Please keep us posted of any progress you have going forward.
Thank You.

Haii wes, I would most definitely look into getting a Lyme test done. Ur symptoms sound like a lot of the neuro symptoms I get. Have u noticed anything that triggers it i.e. Stress or activity? Usually with me that's always a trigger. Also wondering if u get headaches and or neck pain?
