Your neurologist should have never stopped the gabapentin if it was working however your gabapentin will wear off and effectiveness after one and a half years so you want to make sure see your neurosurgeon to get him procedure set up for yourself and try love just stopping the gabapentin should have never caused any of those effects however what happened to you it's Trileptal has the potential To cause the symptoms that you just described it does cause all the muscle restless symptoms so what happened to you is Trileptal cost all your symptoms and causes your body to react differently and it slows you down mentally and physically I hope that answer your question

No. There's no withdrawal
The problem is not ready with drawl from either medication. The problem is Trileptal causes side effects there is no withdrawal from either medication.

Did you have restless leg syndrome before you tried the new medicine? Or is this something new since you made the changes? I am far from an authority but the doctors made big changes and I am sure this had an affect on your nervous system which may take time to settle itself. When I started with gabapentin for restless arms and legs, it took me months to get relief. After so many years, if I miss a dose, the legs and arms start up all by themselves again just to let me know it is still there. Talk to your doctors and if they don't believe you this time, maybe another opinion is an option.

I think I would discuss these changes with a doctor or two. It took months for me to get under control with this but I had it bad when it started. People watched my legs and arms move by themselves so pls don't let it get the best of you. Seek help!

I'm sorry to completely disagree with earlier poster, but I have seen reams of words on here about people's horrendous withdrawal experience of gabapentin (neurontin), and have experienced a fair amount myself!! I have Atypical Facial Pain! how does yours manifest?x

You are me. My symptoms and story are almost identical. Mine began with an ordinary filling, ended with extraction. My pain is now bilateral, (having spread after very minor treatment) in all four quadrants, but varies in intensity and type, and is most likely to be at my extraction site. I look after my teeth like they are made of platinum, but sh*t happens, a lost filling in one quad and a broken cusp in another. How long? I'm nearly three years now.
Gabapentin has done nothing for my pain,

Yeah, I have a cold at the moment too! If you ever feel the need to share. I am a member of a group on FB for sufferers, it's called Atypical Odontalgia and AFP, it's a closed group, so only members can see it. It's some U.S, some UK and a few from other countries, there are only about 100 members, so we get to know one another, and it's sometimes very helpful to me- just communicating with others who actually know how it feels. :-
