Could not cope with side affects

Hi everybody,

Sorry I haven’t been on for a while.

I just had to stop taking Sertraline, the side affects I was having was destroying my personality.

I know I suffer with depression, Axiety, and OCD, however I will rather wait to see my health care worker than to take medication as bad as Sertraline.

I know it helps many people and i’m not saying it for no other reason than it caused my symptoms to become server enough for me to start having suiside thoughts,

I took it for over eight weeks stating with 50 mg then 70 mg and I still felt terrible everyday.

Didn't Want to go out socialise or interact with family members just got worse and worse.

In the end my GP told me to discontinue taking it.

I’m waiting on a appointment for a physiatrist, until then I just have to try and cope with all of my issues, my faith in God helps .

I pray you all will be well soon and if you all ready are good luck in the future.

I will up date you in time.

God bless you all.🙏

I’m so sorry it didn’t work for you. Maybe another type will help you. Everyone is different and different chemistry in their bodies. So hopefully your psychiatrist will find one for you.

God bless you. Hope you feel better soon.

I hate to say it, but you didn't give it enough of a chance to work. The therapeutic dose is 150-200mg. The worst times for me was when I was on 50-75mg. Sleeping 18 hours a day and no interest in anything. 100mg changed all of that.

I'm 49, but I'm a man so I can't answer to that. Search a lady named "Ilda" there is a good discussion there that might help.
