It’s still early days, get the doctor to check if you’re worried but it’s most likely fine, recovery can be really slow, and symptoms misleading.

The process of healing. The healing process is very slow. I had my surgery on 2/27/2018. And my internal stitches just dissolved, takes about a year for your body to recover back to normal. The scar tissues is a trip as well. When I sit I have air bubbles before the scar is in the way usually at the entrance if the vagina. If this happen massage the scar tissue with 100 percent coconut oil or olive oil, it will smoothen out as normal again.

Hi Kas88 ,   I had Anterior op only but a few ladies that have commented have said its all part of the after effects of the op .if i do a bit of walking when i come back i feel sore inside and some times feels swollen inside .ive been told that can happen for months cos its a delicate op ,i think its just a waiting game and we have to be patient

Hi, ive had same operation 5 months ago and still have dull pains down below and also still feel swollen inside. I have been told it takes a long time to recover so i am also hoping this is correct. I am finally seeing consultant next week (5 months after op!!)to make sure all is well as it has been GP who has been reassuring me that it hasnt failed.

Dont do too much - try to relax as much as possible to give time for body to heal. I dont think they give u enough information about how long it takes to recover from these operations.

Hi, I am having the same issue that you experienced.  I am at 5 weeks tomorrow and I am feeling worse than I did at 4 weeks.  But I overdid it on Friday (4 1/2 weeks) by having to give my puppy a bath when he got out in the rain and got super muddy.  I've been resting since, but things still don't feel right and I'm afraid that my repair has failed.  I'm just feeling that familiar heavy feeling again.

I'm just wondering how you are feeling now that it's been about a month since you posted?

Some golden advice ladies.. No lifting anything heavy or bending for up to 12 wks. This is a very crutial time for healing.. The delicate tissues are still super weak and still knitting together. Is refrain from bending over baths, and lifting anything heAvier than 1 litre of water. I've been there and know how these ops can fail and I did nothing to make this happen.xx

I'm 6 weeks post op. Very nervous about it having failed. Definitely feel worse than I did at 4 weeks post op. If I'm on my feet for a while I het an achy almost spiky/rubbing feeling. Very anxious about seeing consultant tomorrow and returning to work so soon. Feel very emotional and overwhelmed about it. Did anyone else feel like this?

i went back after 8 weeks not because i wanted to but because sick pay is so low .i went back after the dr advised me not to  .the dr did say if i had any problems to go straight back to her .i was lucky i struggled through it and luckily i think im ok .it was hard because its nights i work and im stood all the time .im now 12 weeks since my op i still feel presure and nagging pain inside on times but i had no choice to go back to work .my appointment with the hospital is not until 8th october .i think im one of the lucky ones for my op to have worked .
