Could this be an ovarian cyst?

A few days after my period ended, about 2 weeks ago, I started to notice a strange dull pain in my lower right abdomen. It feels very similar to a period cramp but localized on the right. It comes and goes. It seems to always get worse and very uncomfortable at night when I'm laying in bed. Yet when I wake up in the morning I feel completely normal and pain-free. I've also been extremely bloated, gassy and have had a strange mix of constipation and diarrhea. It might also be worth mentioning I've been peeing a lot more then I used to, probably for the past 2 months. Does this sound like an Ovarian cyst? I have a physical booked a month and a half from now, should I wait or go in sooner?

Hi Emilie,
Can you get it checked out? The peeing part is what concerns me because when my cyst was at it's largest, I was peeing almost as much as when I was pregnant.
I would try to get to the doctor sooner that a month and a half because it can grow quite quickly.
Good luck and keep us posted!

Sounds like the symptoms a lot of women including myself get with Ovarian Cysts.
Please contact your/an OB/GYN and get checked out. The only way to know for sure is a pelvic exam or ultrasound.

I have soreness on my tummy laying down and urinate a lot too.
Do you ever get diarrhea and hip aching?
I have a right ovarian cyst diagnosed by ultrasound at the ER.

One thing I noticed from these discussions is how prevalent giant cysts are and how little it's addressed by doctors and the medical community. Cysts are painful and dangeous and I can't help but wonder if a better treatment or prevention would be found if it was men afflicted by 10 cm cysts on their reproductive organs.
Actually, I'm angry that so many of you are suffering and waiting and waiting. My so-called doctor didn't tell me how big my cyst was and actually gave me the option to 'just leave it until it goes away.' That was dangerous of her to say and bordering on malpractice. After it grew even more causing me to look 6 months pregnant, I decided to investigate it on my own by obtaining my lab file. And Holy Moses! Luckily, I finally read the report and was horrified that she would so casually slough it off as something small that would go away. My eventual surgeon was aghast that my dr would minimize the seriousness of it because it had to be taken out. No if, ands, or buts.
Ladies, I've come to the harsh realization that we need to take our health into our own hands. Don't wait for doctors to call you. Don't wait for reports. Don't wait for referrals. Take action because nobody else will. Sadly, women's health seems to be at the bottom of the totum pole in medicine.
