Could this be my gallbladder???

I am a 45 year old female, of normal weight. For the past three weeks, I have been having symptoms which could be related to my gallbladder. But they come and go, so I'm not sure if that's normal.
1. Not horrible pain, but a gnawing ache below my right ribs. This comes and goes and has actually been gone for the past 4 days.
2. I feel like there is something bumping against my right rib when I sit certain ways.
3. Pain that is on my right side of my neck some days, and some days it is on or under my right shoulder blade, and some days it's in my right, mid back. It has also been on my right shoulder. It's never horrible pain, but definitely uncomfortable.
4. TERRIBLE heartburn that has just started this past week. I never usually get heartburn, so it's werid. Plus, nothing seems to help it. Not zantac, tums, etc. It's a terrible burning. This comes and goes too, but it's there more than it's not for the past week.
I do not ever have nausea or extreme pain. I also do not have diarrhea or any change in my bms (color or otherwise). I have been eating low fat for the past few weeks and sometimes I am pain free for 3-4 days, then it returns.
I thought that gallstones caused extreme pain where people ended up in the ER. I only had really bad pain one night and it was under my right shoulder blade. I couldn't sleep with it, so I took a Tylenol with codeine and it made it better.
Does this sound like it could be gallbladder related? I am thinking it may be time to go to the dr this week. Just don't want to go with "mild" symptoms.
Thanks!

Jane..Thanks...I am awaiting my surgery date for a hepaticojejunostomy. .it's a big operation. .I am seeing a specialist at the University of chicago heptobiliary. ..my idea of the surgery being ASAP..is totally different than the surgeons idea of ASAP.
I am nauseated and had gray stools..dark amber urine. .pain under right ribcage.liver enzymes are high...I was put in the hospital again this time for iv antibiotics. .fluids..and replacement of biliary stents again...it is so aggravating. .I have had a staphylococcus aureus infection since my original surgery that has not cleared up yet where my gallbladder was. .

Wow, sounds like you've been through alot. I hope your surgery goes smoothly. I can't even pronounce it, much less spell it!
I hope the surgeons can schedule you quickly so you can find some relief.

You can always have gallbladder problems without stones too. I was having same symptoms but not severe pain. Went to ER after starting a fever and had no stones and was sent home. Went to a GI and got a HIDA scan done and my gallbladder isn't functioning as well. It's called acalcolous gallbladder disease. By the way the pains get worse. Hope to have mine out soon.

Amanda,
Yes, I've heard of this happening. Apparently, it can only be discovered from the HIDA scan. If an ultrasound doesn't show anything, I'll ask for this scan. Thanks.

Only get it if an ultrasound doesn't show anything

So worth getting the scans. Ultrasound most likely will be done first and a HIDA scan. I don't have any pain but BAD nausea when I eat fats and what I call a burning esophagus.
