Could this be R.A?

At the beginning of March this year I suddenly started with wrist and arm pain. I rang Dr thinking it was carpal tunnel. In the next day or so it spread to my finger joints, knees, elbows, shoulders. I saw Dr, she said just viral. it's now over 3 months later and it's not as constant but I'm still getting pains in all those joints as well as morning stiffness and fatigue. I have been told today Dr will refer me. Apart from inflammation markers being a little up and a little anaemic, tests all clear and just pain, no heat or swelling. My spine has also been hurting across the bottom of my shoulder blades. I'm an active 36 yr old female ando other than this, no health issues.

Have you had an xray yet, the doctor could send you for this while waiting to be refered. Not sure what it is the symptoms do sound similiar to mine thiugh,  it might be OA that's not as bad as RA from what I know. Hope you start feeling better soon ;-)

Thank you. The first Dr put it down to a virus, she seemed completely disinterested. It's only been since I've opted to see a new younger Dr that I feeL I'm getting anywhere. There is no outwardlying obvious signs, just the pains etc. I get it on both sides of my body. I was fine until whatever happened at the beginning of March happened, but not been right since.

Hi, I've had the same sort of thing, started the beginning of May but I had swelling to the rear of my knees, which a recent visit to a Physio pointed towards bakers cysts.  No inflammation markers in bloods though, but bit by bit, joint pain and muscle aches spread throughout my body with terrible fatigue, knees, hips, ankles, elbows, fingers all aching with shooting pains and stiffness.  The worst of it lasted four weeks and I was bedridden for most of it.   Two out of four doctors felt it was viral and the others potentially rheumatoid.  I'm now waiting for my rheumatology app and I've started to walk again and bend, but not so good, standing is a pain.  I was very active before this, and healthy too.  Your case sounds similar so sounds about right you should be referred on to rheumatology now.  Good luck with your progress.

Could be RA could also be PMR.  Needs a specialist to look at it
