I've had a scab what's getting bigger on the back of my neck could this be skin cancer seeing the nurse monday had it for several weeks and no improvements

Anything that doesn't heal or appears to be changing warrants a visit to the doc. You're doing the right thing by getting it checked out. But if it turns out to he a cancer, it wont be melanoma which as we all know is the deadly one but there are two other types, basal cell & sqaumous cell carcinoma. I knew a bloke who had a skin cancer on his face for a very long time & like yours it would scab over but never healed. He ended up getting it cut out but because he left it for such a long time they had to 'dig' deep to get it all but he's fine now, just a big scar on his face is all .

my neck area all tender and red too. the scab massive not small. I am going in for my b12 injection monday and I show it to the nurse and if she thinks if I need to see a gp I think she would tell me hopefully nothing serious
