Do any off my fellow Bronchiectasis sufferers also have sinus problems?

Between constantly coughing up phlegm, blowing my nose, painful ears , headaches post nasal drip it is really pulling me down 🤧. Does anyone else have these problems. I can imagine I'm not the only one ! I also have nasal polyps but anaesthetist is very reluctant to give me anaesthetic for the op, so been trying steroid drops.

I've been prescribed oral antihistamins for many years, am on nasal sprays, drops etc

It's relentless, wish we could all get a break folks 😢

Ooh all this is very familiar.  I have had sinus problems alongside my bronchiectasis since I was really small.  I used to go to see the Respiratory Department and also the ENT Department all through my childhood.  I had drainage and all sorts on my sinuses as a kid but it hasn't really made much difference long term. I have post-nasal drip (which of course sets of chest infections) and pain in my face and nose and under my eyes... My ears get bunged up so I keep thinking my hearing is going.

I am not prescribed anything for my sinus problems - I just get over the counter remedies or spray my nose with salt water, Salt water washes probably help more than anything but its only a temporary fix.

I have had it so long I barely notice it it - if I woke up one day without a cough, painful sinuses and blocked ears I would think I had probably died in the night!

I know what you mean about wanting a break and I get very low days when I just want to feel "normal"  but I can walk about, do my gardening (in small doses), keep up with friends (on the Internet and otherwise) and I just try to keep positive  -  but just in case you think I am sickly sweet I also swear like a docker about it at other times.  It's just we're stuck with it and until the miracle happens and a cure is found - well that's the way it is.

Have a hug - sounds like you need one.

Thank You Operalyn, I just felt so pi*sed off that morning ha, I'm feeling better now . Oh it's so good to hear I'm not alone . Everything you said that's me to a tee . Can't I ask, have you been prone to dental abscesses throughout your life. I have gone through this and wondered if it was also connected? X
