hi,

can i ask when you have a date now for your op, how many of you had it cancelled?

also how close to the op date do you have to have covid test and do you get clear instructions where to go etc?

my appointment been cancelled and rescheduled loads this year and yet i was due op in april but cancelled due to covid. new consultation date given for 16th dec now and had a ct scan about 2 months ago, so hoping this will be a successful consultation and op arranged as such pain now and struggle to walk more than 15mins. like dragging my leg which feels like iron bar

Hi Vickie, I was expecting to have my THR around Easter but it didn't happen till early November. The pre-op consultation was 1 week before and the covid test was set up then to be 4 days before. It was a drive through test at the hospital and really clear and easy. One month on and I'm recovering really well. Hope you get fixed soon.

Hi Vicki, covid test was at my local hospital 48 hours before op at a different hospital. Really good system, drive through where they have your car reg and model. Took 2 minutes , back home within 10 minutes. Hope you get sorted

hi Vickie, sorry to read you are still struggling, I assume it's still the same hospital as I go to. I had the first pre op in March followed by the first lockdown. The second pre op in October was supposed to be followed by a covid test but the second lockdown happened, still not heard anything . Three years after hip replacement the pain goes on. Hope you have some positive news this week. Take care.
