Covid Test

I know this isn't menopause related but it is giving me anxiety. I had a covid test yesterday and a few hours after the test I sneezed. About half hour later I had a metallic taste on my mouth. I went to the bathroom and noticed blood tinged saliva when I spat in the sink (sorry). I woke up this morning and went straight to the bathroom and had the same again, not much just a little. Have any of you ladies had similar after a nasal swab? I got my results back very quick and tested negative.

I've been tested twice, both times I had the weird taste and a bad headache. No blood but I'd be willing to bet its just your nasal membranes that are irritated. I don't know where you live but here in Missouri is really cold and the dry air has my sinuses acting up. Try using some Vit E in the gel caps on a qtip and rub it inside your nose or use a saline wash to moisturize them. If it's still happening call your doc. I was told there's some kind of chemical on the end of those swabs that picks up what they need to test for the virus.

thank you for your reply. I'm in Australia, the weather has been so odd lately. Very cool atm . It's been hot, cold, windy. I never got a headache thankfully. x
