Craving cheese - why?

Why do I crave cheese?

Especially blue cheese.

Does blue cheese offer any health benefits at all?

Do I crave it because I am lacking in something?

Cheese gives you calcium which you may be craving. In fact dieters are always said to crave cheese for some unknown reason. Blue cheese is very salty and we are told to cut back on salt, I am not sure if you crave it you need salt. I love blue cheese. Calcium needs vitamin D to absorb properly and a lot of people seem to be vitamin D deficient nowadays. You get the majority of vitamin D from the sun plus things like oily fish. I suppose everyone is using factor 50 as a sun block or sitting inside playing video games!

      Wow michael,

I had St Agur last Christmas and it was fabulous. Our local Spar only sells blue stilton but it is the only thing I enjoy at the moment. I am trying not to have it every evening as I can feel it blocking my arteries!  redface

Am having a bad time today as electrician is not coming because he is "ill", phone landline is broken and my mobile has very little. Thank God for the internet!
