Cravings

I had cravings during pregnancy but never thought that perimenopause would bring about any. Has anyone had cravings? I am currently craving salmiak licorice. No idea why .... any input would be good... (not so good for the weight)

    im sooooooo with you on this. i still have days when i eat and eat and eat then other days when im in control x i cant explain it

    OMGOSH yes.. I wanna cry cause that's all I do is eat.. : ( And I can't get myself together. The eating is much worse before by period.. I really need to try and figure out how I can be satisfied with a plate of broccoli... Or even how about chocolate covered almonds-- nuts are good so if I pig out on them, it's ok.

      OMG I have had that thought about chocolate almonds haha.... I hear you... only way I would enjoy a plate of broc is if it was smothered in cheese sauce lol

    I have a wicked sweet tooth, I crave sugar basically all throughout the month all the time. looking back though, my mother did as well, she was always making delicious home baked sweets. however, I remember years ago I found a chart that showed if you were craving chocolate you needed this type of vitamin or if you were craving meat you were needing a different type of vitamin, and it was spot on. you’re not alone, I think we all have this, some of us are salty some of us are sweet 😉

      Oh wow that's cool--- so if I take a bunch of vitamins to stop these craving?: ) I wish they would.. Actually I think I'm on a carb/sugar addiction which is probably why I have so many issues. UGH each day I wake up with a plan BUT then I fail some how...

      I shouldn’t have said vitamin, I actually meant food, like if you were craving something salty then you would need to eat say carrots, if you were craving dark chocolate then ...obviously I would eat dark chocolate LOK...but maybe you need to eat celery, you know what I mean. meaning we’re lacking a food we should be eating and that’s why we have a cravings. i’m not explaining this right because I have Meano-pause brain 😉

      Ohhhh the sweet tooth yes... major sweet tooth...(losing teeth in the process lol) .... and cheeses too, apparently craving sugar is why we crave cheese as well. I don't know why the salmiak I can't work that one out but you are right....its our body telling us what we need.

    Same. I'm either craving all sorts of salt and carbs or too nauseous and anxious to eat. But either way still fat no matter what I do. 😭
