I feel crazy. I have developed this intense craving to chomp on ice. I am not low on iron as this could be a symptom. Anyone else have this craziness going on?

Hi...what you describe used to be known as pica, caused by a lack of iron and seen in pregnant women long ago. I have no idea why I know this random fact.

Ive had this off and on my entire adult life. I had heavy periods up until i stopped bleeding in peri ( im newly menopausal) so I always wobbled between anemia and iron deficiency. Even though you know you're not anemic, you could have low ferritin which could cause the pica as well or it could be other nutrients ( like zinc) your body is lacking.
