Crazy bear story stabbing pain side of foot - training for a marathon

Posted , 2 users are following.

I’m 7 weeks into a training plan for a marathon, no problems so far. But I’ve just been to Canada and ran away from a bear I woke up by accident ( extremely scary) so I don’t know whether I injured it then as I had a puncture wound on the inside of that ankle and had no idea I’d done it. (The ligaments in this ankle are pretty ruined as it is)

Anyway I have pain between my 5th metatarsal and heel bone, which is pain wise ranges to ‘okay’ to excruciating and stabbing pain so much I can’t place the foot down.

Should I see my GP in the morning?

I did run 2.5 miles yesterday with moderate pain, I kinda need to know how long I need to rest it for.

Anyone had a similar injury?

Please tell us more about the bear you woke up by accident! What an interesting story... are you saying you think it bit you??

Haha no biting, but it was sleeping in a tree in the woods and we ran through deep snow, over logs and uneven ground to get away, which is how I might of damaged my foot, who knows!!
