Crohn's disease...I'm confused...

Is it possible to have Crohn's disease and never have diarrhea ?

    Hi Mary yes I believe many sufferers suffer from constipation and still get diagnosed with Crohns but most of us spend a lot of time running to the loo and have a lot of pain. Hope you have had a proper diagnosis from an expert.

      Thanks for reply nannylin, histology said crohns ( after emergency hemicolectomy ) but GI thought unlikely ,( no family history ,I'm 59 ,old for first time flare up ! apparently ,no fatigue ,happily) but I'd had lots of dental work last winter and had taken NSAIDs ,G I thought this could have caused the damage I got .Ive never heard of this before ? Thanks again for replying and I really wonder what it says about medicine in General when so many people have to look to internet for info.  Etc..

      Why did you have the surgery. I have also had the same but that was due to obstructions caused by strictures. If only we knew the consequences of some of the seemingly safe drugs we are offered for things like dental work - it's an absolute minefield you help one thing and mess up something else. Good luck
