Crohn’s Medication

Posted , 3 users are following.

Hello All,

I’m a 38 year old male living in the USA. I was recently diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and am meeting with my doctor to discuss treatment options.

I have a lot of inflammation which sometimes prevents or makes it difficult to move stool- even diarrhea.

I wanted to reach out to see if anyone had any recommendations for medication. I am new to this and am not familiar with any of the medications available. I know there are different types/classes of meds for this disease and wanted some insight before meeting with the doctor.

Any input is much appreciated!

Your best is to speak to your doctor who will recommend you appropriate medication.

Hi there - I'm not objecting to your posting here, but wondered whether you knew this site has a forum specifically for Crohn's disease. I suspect you might get some more useful info over there.

Just click on Reply, then scroll down to underneath the text box and click on the X next to Irritable Bowel Syndrome (to cancel it). You'll then be offered the option of starting a new discussion, and just below this you'll find the list of all forums.
