CRPS

I had a patial knee replacment nearly 3 years ago. They cut into my ligament during the operation. I have had problems with it ever since, we thought there was something wrong with it as I was still in pain but I was told last year it was CRPS. I have seen a pain Dr but he wasn't very helpful!

i take paracetamol, codeine and gabapentin at the min with oromorph when very bad. I'm having to finish work as I work with SEN children and I just can't manage it. Is there anyone suffering this problem and does anyone know if I can get financial support.

You don' t say which country or county you live in so the financial support part of your question is difficult to answer likewise neglicence claims are treated differently ( I suppose ) in different countries .

Is ot too late to claim against the Trust where you where operated ? Or I suppose you could try legal "ambulance type " chasers or your insurance company if you have health cover .I don't know how it works in England now but legal cover is an option in France ,so I have claimed on my policy here for my accident ( 2 dogs) fractured leg and CPS

My Cps showed up clearly on a Scinigrame and you could fry an egg on my knee so there was no bawking YET from theinsurance company however it is early days ,only 10 months from my. accident so not long in insurance terms !

I have my GP for my care ,before it was a specialist doctor at a physio centre ,my GP suggested a TENS machine among with Lyrica ( for nerve pathways ?) my need for mophine decreased almost immediately .However I still have physio twice a week .However I was diagnosed with CPS early after my accident when the outcome for a ."cure " is better .
