Crying For No Reason

After battling with anxiety for two years I finally sought help. I experienced heart palpitations, tingling feeling on soles of my feet, sleep paralysis and Irritable bowel syndrome. I was diagnosed with severe anxiety last year and I got help and really improved and got my life back together. Then today out of nowhere I got this feeling in my chest then I started to cry. I cried continuously for two hours. Nothing triggered my crying and I was happy. Has anyone experienced this?

Yes!!!  I want to first say I am not a medical professional just someone who has suffered with anxiety and panic attacks for over 20 years. Anxiety affects us all differently and there is a difference between having an anxiety disorder and being anxious.  My symptoms are all over the place and I feel like I'm having a heart attack or a stroke multiple times a day, not currently on my medication due to financial issues, as well as a list a mile long of other symptoms. Anxiety can make you feel all kinds of things and you don't have to be "anxious or upset or stressed" for you to have any of these symptoms. Anxiety disorder can also go hand in hand with depression, you don't have to be "sad" to experience depression either. I have days where I just start crying out of nowhere, I will cry myself sick at times, for what seems like no real reason at all. I can get upset or be fighting with my boyfriend and not cry but just randomly out of nowhere, water works. I don't know if it is a build up of everything going on in life or what but it happens. I don't know if you are seeing a therapist/counselor but I highly recommend it as well as talking to your doctor or psychiatrist about other anxiety medication options so the need arise. Just make sure you take charge of your medical care, you are the only one that has to live in your body. You are allowed to ask any and all questions, voice any concerns you make have, and in the end say yes or no to all decisions about your healthcare. In the meantime I would suggest you do some research on anxiety coping techniques or natural remedies. Things like aromatherapy, yoga, adult coloring books, breathing exercises, meditation, massage, just about anything you can find that might help but really won't hurt even if it doesn't. Best of Luck to You!!!

I am scheduling an appointment with my psychiatrist. I have been trying meditation and yoga. Maybe the crying is a buildup of emotions. I was thinking about depression but I will hear what my psychiatrist says. Thank you.
