Cs affecting my ribs and spine now!

Hey guys, I'm 32 and was diagnosed 5 year ago with cs, it was only the beginning and they told me it would be alright and wouldn't affect me for years...yeah. For years my flare ups happened every few month then the last two year it's been more frequent. Now it's every 2-3 week and lasts just over a week at a time. I've been given a neck brace to stop my head falling to the side during the flare up, I'm on codine and was on naproxin but cause my kidneys are causing trouble they have took me off them for now. I work doing security and I'm a supervisor for crowd control at football matches. After every game I end up suffering for days from my neck down my spine. The pain gets too much at times all I can do is cry. Now for the last two days it's affected my ribs and spine and I'm in so much pain and can barely move. I'd put up with it but my back muscles keeps having spasms which are making me sick and I've not been able to eat for days. Can anyone relate to this or give me advice plz. Thanks for reading

    Hi emma22071,

The pain associated with c/S is very hard to explain to those who have not had it. It took 15 months before my pain control was in place but different people on this website have different approaches, this is only mine: morphine pain patch 10 microns 24/7, Gabapentin 600mgs 1 X 3 times a day, Naproxen 500mgs 1 twice a day, Amatryptaline 10 mgs 3 at night. These are all for my pain relief, I take other med for other things too.

It was very important in my case Not to have any form of professional manipulation, I could have been parylised.

    Good luck.
