ct scan conflicting opinions

I have in going kidney stone issues since last feb.

in my left kidney I have a stone that's grown to 15/8 mm and some urologist say a 5 mm one in my right kidney .

my own urologist showed me the scan and you can see the white object but he says it's not a stone as it's embedded in the flesh . ?? I personally believe it is one . any thoughts?!?

I ha e been referred to a research team ( current ongoing clinical trials )regarding the large stone as it's in the lower pole and apparently this is a problem .

been told there will be a number of options of treatment and it's randomly selected by computer as to which treatment you receive ... I don't care as long as they're removed but it all sounds quite bizarre lol

I've previously had a double stent and two of the procedures performed to laser stones and insert stents .

thanks in advance for any thoughts

If the urologist says it is not a stone did they have any suggestions as to what it might be?

Treatment randomly selected by a computer?!! I definitely would not go down that road.

What about treatment that would be best for you?!!

Like you I had large kidney stones all last year until they were removed by keyhole surgery at beginning of December.

I had a stent in for a week and also a catheter for 3 or 4 days.

I definitely would not want to go through all that again.

    Drink plenty of water.

Someone told me Robinson's Lemon Barley Water is good for kidney stones.

Take care and keep in touch

hi and thanks for the response Sarah😀

with the double blockage I had double stents in place and I can honestly say it was the worst experience of my life . I never want another stent but one of the urologista intimated I may be one of those people who just keep creating stones . boohoo

my choice would be to have keyhole surgery ... I had a nephrostemy to place the one stent so not scared of that lol ...

I'm honestly looking forward to seeing the research team as I've not had the answers I need about what's going on with my kidneys . i need these ones remived and

apart from the stones I pass grit 2 to 4 times a week and it's not pleasant.

      anyway thanks again
