CT scan results & seeing specialist on Tuesday

Posted , 2 users are following.

I was told early 3 and a bit weeks ago from my ultra sound that it looks like I have a roughy 10cm cyst

Which looks-

-simple cyst

-it's round

-doesn't show any lumps and bumps

-doesn't seem to have a blood supply

I had a CT scan about a week and half ago which I'm super worried about the results from the scan. I have had bloods done including tumor markers which are all within the normal range which is good.

I'm scared when I see the specialist on Tuesday that he will say something else apart from an cyst will show up and I can't stop myself from worrying and overthinking.

All tests like bloods are normal which is good and I got told that my cyst being round, doesn't seem any lumps or bumps, and doesn't seem to have a blood supply which I have been told these are all good things, is this right??

Why do they do a ct scan??

am I just overthinking this all,

I’m in the same boat right now but my cyst is not as large.  I ended up in the ER last week in extreme pain thinking I had appendicitis.  I was in such extreme pain, right sided, couldn’t walk.  They only did an ultrasound which confirmed a 5 x 6 cm hemorrhagic ovarian cyst.  My ovarian cyst had “ intermittent torsion”  they called in an obgyn and they were going to do surgery the next day.  At the time I was at an out of town hospital so I decided to go to my town with my obgyn.   By the time I got to my Er the cyst was still there but the blood flow was better, so my obgyn decided to give it s couple of days to see if it would shrink due to my previous 2 csections and previous hysterectomy.  He was afraid of scar tissue and adhesions from previous surgeries and said he could not do laparoscopic.  So they sent me home on pain meds.  Since then, the pain is constant, an 8 compared to a 10, I feel blotted, the pain sometimes radiates to under my right rib, can’t walk good and hard to sit up straight.   I had another ultrasound today and the tech said the cyst is still the same size but I haven’t heard from my obgyn yet.  I am scheduled to have a laparotomy on Tuesday.   I am very nervous and still in a lot of pain.   Trying to get answers from woman who have been through this please help!!!!

      Hey!

I ended up in a&e for same reason

And they thought it was my appendix too. Mine has twisted but it untwisted it's self.

After I got told I had a cyst I was admitted to a ward due to the size of it and they were going to do an op but my pain levels had

Reduced, they done the blood tumors blood test which all my bloods including them are normal and i had ct scan.

They will be doing an op but will find out more next Tuesday.

I'm only 23 years old so haven't had many ops.

On my ultra sound when they found cyst they think it's a simple cyst but I'm getting ever so worried the closer it gets to Tuesday.

I keep worrying what about if

They found anything really bad .. like cancer .... surely they would of called me in sooner if my ct scan showed more then a simple cyst ??
